Installation of Ubuntu 9.04 on a new PC with a P5B Deluxe motherboard with integrated audio I noticed that the audio recorder was not working. Without losing heart and google here and I managed to solve the problem.

sudo gedit / etc / modprobe.d / alsa-base.conf

options snd-hda-intel model = 6stack

5. Reboot
