Rexx (Restructured Extender Executor) on Mac OSX

The Rexx (R estructured EX tender and ecutor X) is a programming language developed by Mike Cowlishaw in IBM .
Rexx and 'general language pourpose a bit like the Basic, is available on many platforms, can be close enough to the system as C, there are in fact, libraries providing access to the layer TCP / IP communications, databases (DB2 , Oracle, MSSQL ...) to the Windows registry, memory and much more.
Rexx followed me in my work activities since 1990, I used it on hardware platforms ranging from IBM mainframes, workstations Alpha and risks to the Intel architecture with operating systems like OS/390, Tru64, Dos, Windows, OS / 2, Linux, etc..
Over time I made several works in Rexx and now I felt like using it on my MacBook Pro with Mac OSX.

The installation of Regina Rexx from source is pretty simple:

1. download the source from SourceForge (Regina-REXX-3.4.tar.gz)
   
2. unpack the tar file -Regina-REXX-xvf 3.4.tar.gz
3. configure the package through. / Configure - prefix = / usr / local
   
4. start the compilation by typing make
5. install if everything ok with the command sudo make install

To test that `s installation is successful, type:
rexx-v
