Retrieve the plugin Moonligth

Installation of Ubuntu 9.04 on a new PC with a P5B Deluxe motherboard with integrated audio I noticed that the audio recorder was not working. Without losing heart and google here and I managed to solve the problem.
below sets out the steps of the procedure used to solve the problem

a hardware identification

lspci 00:1 B.0 Audio device: Intel Corporation 82801H (ICH8 Family) HD Audio Controller (rev 02)

cat / proc / asound/card0/codec # * file:

sudo gedit / etc / modprobe.d / alsa-base.conf

4. Add the following line:

options snd-hda-intel model = 6stack

5. Reboot

6. Setting up going to the panel system -> Preferences -> Sound

First we fix a small setting in the settings of vlc: Go to "Tools" menu and select Preferences and check the "All" at the bottom left (fig 1).

Then go in the path "Input/Codecs-> access modules-> HTTP (s)" (fig 2). Here

paste the following User Agent string in the box and restart vlc.
